A Little About Me…
After a rewarding 12 years of practicing architecture at a local Boston firm,
I changed my trajectory…
As a life-long athlete and someone who just prefers to be in motion, I have developed a keen understanding and appreciation for the important role that massage therapy can play in the rehabilitative process. I am a graduate of Bancroft School of Massage Therapy and a Licensed Massage Therapist in the state of Massachusetts (MA# 15547). I also hold a Bachelor of Architecture and a Bachelor of Arts in Dance Performance Studies from Roger Williams University.
I knew from a young age that I was intrigued by the human body and how it works. Studying dance fed this curiosity. I did not, however, recognize my more specific interest and desire to understand the mechanics of human movement until sustaining significant injury as a collegiate soccer player and reaping the benefits of proper rehabilitation. I gained an additional glimpse into how rewarding it is to be a part of someone’s recovery while working as a student athletic trainer in college, providing treatment to athletes under the direct supervision of the certified athletic trainers. Let me clarify, I am not a medical professional nor is it within my scope of practice as a massage therapist to provide a diagnosis. My passion for rehabilitative bodywork is directly connected to these past experiences, which have expanded my knowledge and understanding of orthopedic injury — making me a stronger massage therapist.
My practice includes: Postural and Movement Analysis, Sports Massage Techniques, Myofascial Release Massage Techniques, Deep Tissue/Trigger Point Therapy, and Swedish Massage Techniques. I have also completed Part 1 Upper Body, Part 2 Lower Body and Part 3 Advanced Strokes/Assessment and Treatment of Howard Rontal’s Myofascial Release Massage Certification course; as well as Level 1: Mobility and Level 2: Stability as part of Temple Human Performance Center’s Physiokinetix Table Neuro Training with Paul Kelly.
Clinical interests include: Orthopedic/Sports Injuries, Structural Body Work, Spinal Cord Injuries, Stroke Rehabilitation, and Chronic Pain Management for Repetitive Use Injuries. I am constantly looking to grow my existing skillset by pursuing additional certifications. My constantly evolving list of continuing education includes: Orthopedic Massage Therapy, Neuromuscular Massage, Medical Massage Therapy, Integrative Positional Therapy, the Trager Approach, Craniosacral Therapy, Massage Treatments for Scoliosis and Spinal Cord Injury, Neurokinetic Therapy (NKT), and Amino Neuro Frequency (ANF), to name a few.
Today my passion is for creating a positive impact on your recovery…
When not dominating pain you can find me digging into a home renovation project, working on a design project, teaching an aerial bungee class, training for the next crazy athletic challenge, or spending time outdoors with family in Maine.
What People Are Saying
“As ongoing therapy for my stroke I worked with Jessie over several months in her former position at Spaulding Cambridge and was impressed with her massage technique and touch. My muscle sensitivity, particularly in my right leg, was not an issue for Jessie as she provided just enough pressure to create greater mobility without pain. She used each massage to progress my flexibility. I found her to be bright and a delight to work with.”

"Jessie is a very skilled and professional massage therapist. She works hard to identify and treat muscles that need specific attention while creating a relaxing and comfortable environment. Highly recommended!"
